PRAYER WORKS WONDERS, GET ADDICTED TO IT (Friday, 9th January 2026)
Text for Today: James 5:13-18 “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” (vs. 16b).
Those who don’t engage in prayer consistently, will eventually become victims in the hands of the wicked. Whatever Jesus spoke about in the Bible and admonished His followers to do, is a must do for us as children of God. One of such “MUST DO” as a believer is Prayer. John 18:1 says, “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.” Prayer is a spiritual dynamite which every child of God must cling to all through this year if we want to stand out in all our ways and experience turnaround.
As I continue with my assignment in God’s vineyard and listen to different people from all works of life as regards their relationship with God, I make bold to declare to whoever may be at a crossroad, who is still at a loss to the potency of prayer that “PRAYER WORKS WONDERS.” Since prayer is our way of talking to God, how do you want to survive and do exploits on earth without talking to the God of exploits regularly? As you continue in your journey of this great year, prayer should be a vital part of your living. Beloved, I want you to know that, prayer is the greatest thing you can do on earth to bring the hand of God down upon whatever you do. The prayer you offer daily, and all the time is the rail on which the locomotive of God’s power moves. My mentor, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun once said and I quote, “All things are possible to the one who knows how to pray.” People who pray never accept a “NO”, they press on with God until their request is granted. Be addicted to prayer!
