HE ACTED FOOLISHLY AND ALMOST LOST IT (Tuesday, 20th January 2026)

Text for Today: 2 Kings 5:1-15 “But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, indeed, I said to myself…….”(vs. 11).

Its wisdom not to rate people by the office they occupy, but simply by their actions and deeds. There are many people around who don’t live up to the office they occupy and meet up with the required standard expected of them in the society. That is why you must stop rating people by virtue of the position they occupy, what they wear or the things they display around them. It is better to allow people to show their true worth by their deeds and actions. Jesus said, “By their fruits you shall know them.” In life, we have so many people who cannot validate what they have through what they are able to do eventually. There are many people who go about with brilliant certificate but can’t justify it when the chips are down.

Who would have thought that “General Naaman” would act foolishly considering the office he occupied in his country. Someone will say that was pride, yes, it is a destroyer if it penetrates your soul. At a time when his life and health was at stake, it was his servants who had better reasoning that eventually saved him. The old fool would have returned a leper back to his country, but thank God for his servants who were not on the same page of foolishness with him. Who was he to have queried the instruction given by a servant of God anyway when he needed help badly? Whoever that allows his feelings to override the will of God will always go empty. This would have been the case of General Naaman, when he became furious because his feeling did not agree with what the servant of God told him.

You are a Champion!
