STOP GIVING CREDIT TO THOSE WHO DISCREDIT YOUR DREAMS (Saturday, 25th April 2026)
Text for Today: Neh. 4:1-15 “But it so happened, when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, that he was furious and mocked the Jews”. (vs.1).
Believing in oneself is a great virtue you cannot do without. When someone doesn’t believe in you, it’s their choice. You get to choose to believe in yourself or to believe them. Beloved, I want you to know that your value does not decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth. The most difficult people to hang around in life are those who don’t believe in your dream, neither do they believe you can make it in life. No matter how you try, such people are impossible to please; you will not be able to break through to them, no matter what you do. Accept this harsh truth as a fact of life. In the journey of life, some people will discredit you, disrespect you, and treat you poorly for no apparent reason at all.
Don’t consume yourself with trying to change them or win their approval. And don’t make any space in your heart to hate them. Simply walk away and let karma deal with the things they do. Because any bit of time you spend on them will be wasted, and any bit of hate and aggravation in your heart will only hurt you. Stop giving credit to those who discredit your dreams. If you give in and let their negativity convince you of who you are, their madness will wither you away. What you’re capable of is not a function of what others think is possible for you. So, look beyond their presumptions and mental limitations, and connect with your own best vision of what you are capable of and how your life can be. From our text for today, there Sanballat and Tobiah did all they could, but Nehemiah and the Jews refused to be stopped.
