YOU CAN’T LIVE A POSITIVE LIFE WITH A NEGATIVE MIND (Friday, 24th April 2026)
Text for Today: Num. 13:17-33 “And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out.” (vs. 32).
Negative-minded people don’t go far in life, rather they get stuck in the same spot for years. Your beliefs, either positive or negative, will largely determine everything around you, how you do it, and the end result. Negative-minded people never attract anything good into their lives; neither do they allow good things to take place in the lives of those they have influence over. This is because such people are so entrenched in seeing the negative side of things that they leave zero room for positive things to grow. People like this inhabit our families, work environments, social circles, and even in the church. It can be emotionally draining just being around them, and you must be careful because their negative attitudes and opinions are venomous and contagious.
Negativity perpetuates itself, breeds dissatisfaction, and clutters the mind. And when the mind is cluttered with negativity, happiness is hard to come by. Ignore these people and move on from them when you must. Seriously, be strong and know when enough is enough! Letting go of negative people doesn’t mean you hate them, or that you wish them harm; it just means you care about your own well-being. Because every time you subtract negative from your life, you make room for more positive. From our text for today, when the other spies tried to discourage the children of Israel from forging ahead with their journey to the Promised Land, Joshua and Caleb challenged them and spoke words of encouragement backed up with faith. You don’t need negativity in life.
