ENDURANCE DEVELOPS OUR STRENGTH OF CHARACTER (Thursday, 24th September 2026)
Text for Today: Rom. 5:1-5 “And perseverance character, and character, hope.” (vs 4).
I often say to members of our church and wherever I go to preach that, “Nothing good comes easy in life.” This is the plain truth everyone must come to term with so as to possess one’s possessions in life. This understanding will help you to endure and withstand whatever comes your way, in your quest to fulfilling your purpose on earth. Not a few have given up on their dreams because they lacked the capacity to endure trials and challenges that came their way in life. No man can ever get to his destination in life except by the grace and power of God. However, if you lack endurance, God’s grace may not be able to help you out. Endurance or perseverance and patience are not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory.
As a covenant child of God, you must strive very hard to possess the virtue of endurance because it attests and prove your trust in God. From our text for today, endurance develops our strength of character and helps us to learn. The plan of God towards you is for good and not of evil, to give you a brighter future and an enviable destiny (Jer. 29:11), but you must patiently wait for that expected end which He has promised to give you. Don’t be in haste; your desired job will soon reach your hand. Be patient, your husband is coming, don’t be too fast for God; follow Him patiently and he will lead you aright. The devil will try to dissuade you with negative thoughts and devilish options just for you to deviate from the plan of God, but don’t allow him. Don’t give up; you are right on the way of that miracle.
