THE CONSTITUTED AUTHORITY COULD NOT HELP HIM ON THE WAY TO DAMASCUS (Wednesday, 11th February 2026)
Text for Today: Acts 9:1-9 “Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” (vs. 4)
When the day of reckoning comes, whoever is bragging of any physical power will be brought to book. All through the journey of my assignment in God’s vineyard as a full-time pastor for the past twenty-five years, I have come to see that, there is no man God cannot tame whenever He chooses to do so. When you see an evil man carrying out his notorious activities unchecked, I want you to know that either his day of judgment has not come, or his victims have refused to call on the God of Vengeance to deal with him. Considering all manners of deadly acts Saul carried out, with the backing of constituted authority in the land, who could have thought that he could be dealt with without any resistance.
Beloved, this should further let you know that God has not created a “Machine” He cannot control and bring into subjection. Whoever fights against you and your glory is fighting against your God. From our text for today, after the disciples left Jerusalem and ran away to Damascus, Saul went after them, because he was bent on bringing an end to the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But God, who is greater than all forms of opposition and evil strongmen, dealt with Saul on his way to Damascus. Evil agents don’t give up until they are brought into subjection. I see God rising up on your behalf and bringing all your adversaries into subjection and disgrace today in Jesus’ name. I encourage you to take today’s prayer seriously and also set some days aside to pray the 60 Prophetic Prayers at the end of this book as well.
