AGE IS NOT A BARRIER; IT’S A LIMITATION YOU PUT ON YOUR MIND (Saturday, 9th May 2026)
Text for Today: Gal. 1:10-24 “For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure…”(vs.13).
No matter your age, stage of life, or circumstances, don’t forget to dare to dream with God. You don’t have to figure anything out. Just keep saying yes to Him, in big ways and small, and watch what He does. Age is an issue of mind over matter, if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. Whatever things you have been able to do successfully in life by now, give glory to God for them, and if there are things you had planned to do by now but nothing seems to be happening yet, you can still make a great difference in that area if you don’t lose hope. What’s important is how you feel. The only reason you think it’s too late to start and do something new is because that’s what you grew up believing.
You believe that you should have everything figured out in life before you reach 30, 40, 50, etc. The older you get; the less opportunity you think you have to do something new. This simply isn’t true. If you’re determined to do something, it is never too late to start. Here are some famous examples of people who started late, and yet they made their mark on earth in their chosen endeavour. For instance, Stan Lee, creator of Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man was 40 when he began drawing these legendary superheroes. He’s now 90 years old and makes a cameo in every movie based on his comic books. Can you imagine if anyone of them thought it was too late to start? It does not matter your present age, you can still get some things done if you go all out for it.
