THERE’S ALWAYS A CHANGE OF STORY AT THE END OF THE STORM (Sunday, 21st Jun 2026)

Text for Today: Heb. 6:1-12 “But beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation. (vs.9).

Those who run away from trials are simply running away from opportunities that will raise them. Storms of life are not meant to break us, but to bend us towards God. When the storms of life become unbearable, don’t complain; just call on God to take control and trust me, He will calm the storm for an easy sail. Beloved, I want you to know that, character cannot grow in ease and pleasure; it’s only through trials that the soul gets strengthened. And when you walk out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in.

As long as some challenges and afflictions of life are real, so also salvation of the Lord and way of escape are also real. God asked a question in the Bible, “Can a woman forget her nursing child…, even if she does, I your God can never forget my lovely children I created with my own hands.” We live in a world where, according to Jesus we will surely see tribulation (John 16:13), but with great assurance of victory if we are connected to Him. Whatever the brand of struggles we face, we need a secure hope in order to “hang in there” over a lifetime of growing in grace. From our text for today, hope is called “anchor for the soul.” That is a tremendous image, the picture of an anchor giving security and stability to a ship in the midst of a storm. That is what hope does for us, and more. (Romans 5:2-5). We can remain steadfast, trusting God through present difficulties and pains, because we know the outcome…. Only with a secure hope rooted in the faithfulness of God will we be able to weather the storms of life.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: Heb. 10:26-39.
