THERE’S GREAT POWER IN GRATITUDE (Friday, 3rd July 2026)

Text for Today: Hab. 3:17-19 “Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” (vs. 18)

Those who lack the spirit of gratitude can never be free from frustration and grumbling, because nothing excites them in life. Nothing else in life can be compared with a lifestyle of gratitude. Gratitude is a far more impacting occurrence. In fact, it can be life-changing whereas, being glad has significantly less power. Gratitude is a state of being. A person who practices continual gratitude is a more peaceful person and there is a reason for this. They have discerned what things matter most in their life and have set themselves to focus on only those. This person knows what brings them peace and they know what creates chaos. They choose peace and practice the power of gratitude which maintains that peace.

Peace is not the same as happiness, just as gratitude is not the same as being glad. You’ll find that peace and the power of gratitude go deeper, last longer, and once firmly established, are set on rock, not sand. Happiness is fleeting and can disappear with a word or any negative occurrence. One can be happy one moment and sad the next. I have maintained a lifestyle of gratitude while going through numerous challenges in the early years of our ministry, which became instrumental to all that God has made happened for us thus far. From our text for today, the man of God made it clear that, no matter what happens around him, he will continue to show gratitude and rejoice in the Lord. Beloved, at any point any situation affects your dealings with God, you need to wake up and return back to Him. There’s great power in gratitude.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: John 6:5-12.
