THOSE WHO GIVE UP MIDWAY GET STRANDED IN LIFE (Tuesday, 6th January 2026)
Text for Today: Mark 10:46-52 “Then many warned him to be quiet, but he cried out all the more; “Son of David have mercy on me.” (vs. 48).
Those who wait for everyone around them to give them the required support they need may wait forever, but such doesn’t exist anywhere. In the journey of life, not many people will agree with you as regards the changes you want to bring about in your life when a New Year begins. At the beginning of a New Year like this, every sane person I come across have something in common. There are things they want to change in their lives and around them. They want a shift in their spiritual lives, business, academic, marriage, and many more that will reflect that they are actually in a New Year indeed. However, no one can ever get to where he is not sure and certain about.
Don’t just stop at the frequency of mere wishing, move ahead to the point of being specific about things you want to change in your life and be ready to fight for it no matter the opposition. Write it down. Be concrete. Be purposeful. Be determined. For example, as a business man, you want to increase you monthly turnover by 50%, it won’t just happen, and you are the one that will make it happen. For you to accomplish the desired change for this New Year, you need to break down the goals into small steps. The truth is, there are things you must change in your personal life before certain things change around you. If you don’t change, nothing changes as well. From our text for today, Bartimaeus was sure of what he wanted, thus he got stuck to it until he got it. The more they shouted him down, the more shout he made so as to get Jesus’ attention. Don’t give up midway.
