What is Praise?
1. Praise is the joyful expression of admiration, thanksgiving, and worship offered to God because of who He is and what He has done.
2. Giving thanks to God for His mighty acts and blessings.
Why should we praise God?
1. God deserves our praise. Psalm 150:6; Psalm 145:3.
2. Because of His goodness. Psalm 107:1.
3. Because of His mercies. Lamentations 3:22-25.
4. Because there is power in praises.
5. Praises open prison doors.
Things to note
1. There is power in praise if we engage in it effectively.
2. Praise is one of the greatest spiritual weapons that God has given to us as His children.
3. Praise is an avenue to express our faith, gratitude, love, and confidence in God, regardless of the circumstances we find ourselves.
4. How you praise God in your circumstances shows your disposition towards Him.
5. God is the only one who has the prerogative to distribute mercy, so every day you wake up, fresh mercy is made available to you.
6. Praises bring God’s presence into your situation.
7. Praise to God is an instrument of warfare.
8. Praising God is not conditional.
