WITHOUT PROPER SELF-EVALUATION IN LIFE, FAILURE IS INEVITABLE (Tuesday, 7th July 2026)

Text for Today: 2 Cor. 13:1-11 “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?”. (vs. 5).

It’s dangerous to go through the journey of life without regular self-assessment and examination. Being entirely honest with oneself is a good exercise in life. This is because, the unexamined life is not worth living. Without proper self-evaluation in life, failure is inevitable. No man was ever so much deceived by another as by himself. Honestly admitting the mistakes you made and not trying to rationalize it or push it off is an important step in self-assessment and mindfulness. Self-assessment and attempts at self-improvement are essential aspects of “the good life.” Yes, we should engage in ruthless self-reflection and harsh scrutiny as believers if it’s our desire to live our lives to please God and make impact here on earth.

Any man who deceives himself about the state of his life will end up becoming a subject of mockery before other men. Beloved, we are still in the early days of the second half of 2026; you’ve got to sit down and do a sincere assessment of all that happened in the first half, do necessary adjustments and corrections, then swing into action to break new grounds and gain new territories compared to the first half of the year. Any life that does not go through regular checks and assessment will head towards destruction. In the game of football, the pattern of game changes in the second half most of the time based on the assessment made by coaches of how the first half played out. The assessment definitely leads to some changes in terms of substitutions and position of play. May you make greater exploits this second half in Jesus name.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: Luke 15:11-20.
