3 Things to Note From the Passage:
1. Being made in God’s image means we are created to lead and have dominion. (Genesis 1:26)
2. God gave man authority over the whole earth. (Genesis 1:28, 1 John 4:4; 1 John 5:4)
3. If God told us to rule and have dominion, it means we have the ability to do so. (Exodus 3:10-12)
Case Study 1: Moses
The 5 excuses of Moses before God:
– Who am I? : Moses struggled with his identity. (Exodus 3:10)
– Who are You? : Moses struggled with intimacy. (Exodus 3:12)
– What if they don’t listen? (Exodus 4:1-9): Moses struggled with intimidation
– I am not eloquent. (Exodus 4: 10) : Moses struggled with inadequacy
– Look for someone else (Exodus 4:13): Moses struggled with inferiority
