You Can’t Be The Light Of The World Without Being Connected To The Power Source

Text for Today: 1 Cor. 15:20-28 “For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.” (vs. 21).

The greatest comfort in this life is having a close relationship with God and nothing else. Real security can only be found in that which can never be taken from you – your relationship with God. Developing a relationship with Jesus is the best investment you will ever make in your life.

Right from the time of creation, the cause of soured relationship between man and God always lies with man. God is and will forever be committed to the relationship if man does not violate the agreement that establishes the union.

During a service in the children church, a group of five-year old watched an animated video of creation and the fall into sin. One child in a particular corner sat enthralled by the unfolding account of Adam and Eve’s disobedience. As Eve offered the forbidden fruit to Adam, the young boy whispered in horror, “ADAM DON’T”.

He thought he could stop Adam from eating the fruit like many of us react emotionally whenever we sit beside our T.V set. However, Adam ate the fruit and all the people on earth carry the stain of that first rebellion against God.

Adam did it, but God would not let your sin separate us from His Love. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to suffer the punishment we earned by our disobedience. Living for God means you must put His desires before your own.

That was what Adam and Eve failed to do, when they put their own desires above what God instructed them to do and they paid dearly for it.
