The Day His Mind Was Made Up, His Story Changed
Text for Today: I Chronicles 4:9-10 “And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that You would bless me indeed…, So God granted him what he requested.”(vs. 10).
The level you are per time and the happenings in your life, is a function of what you have accepted as the norms. In the spiritual, it takes your acceptance and cooperation for certain things to manifest and settle down in your life.
That’s why I often say to people wherever I go to preach that, whatever you permit persists, while what you resist goes away. Such was the case of the young man in our text for today.
Jabez, who at some point in his life said no to some happenings in his life, that have been there for ages. These happenings were as a result of something definite that took place when his mother gave birth to him.
However, the day he made up his mind that enough was enough, and cried out to God in prayers, that was the end of the negative happenings in his life. If Jabez had done nothing concerning his situation, he could have died with sorrow.
With the bold step he took, his life took a new turn and became blessed indeed as he requested and also became a blessing to his generation. If you do not have a good beginning, you can ensure you have a good finishing.
God expects all Christians to exercise maximally the authority of declaring and getting it done. You can change that situation. God has given you the ability and strength.
Go out rejoicing in this word “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. You will surely break new grounds in the name of Jesus.
You are a Champion!
