Success Is The Sum Of Small Efforts
Text for Today: 1 Kings 18:41-44 “Then it came to pass the seventh time that he said “There is a cloud as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” (vs. 44).
The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. Don’t be afraid of starting small, because there are valuable lessons in humble beginnings.
Success is the sum of small efforts that is repeated day in day out. Beloved, I want you to know that, it does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop, you will surely get to your destination in life.
Whoever is waiting for something to become big before he gets committed to it will not take any step in life and several others who start small will leave him far behind. This is because, that time he is waiting for may never come.
God is always looking for those who will believe and celebrate Him for his finger, before He cause them to experience His whole hand. Every success story begins with a step in the right direction. If you are not willing to start small then you are not ready to start at all.
After the conquest at Mount Camel, Elijah prayed to God for rain. The Bible says he prayed the first time and sent his servant to go and see the cloud, he came back to say there was nothing to show if it will rain at all.
This continued for six consecutive times, but at the seventh attempt he said “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand” “That’s it”, Elijah said go and tell Ahab to run to his palace or else rain will stop him from getting there.
It was just a tiny cloud but with a great potential. When God promised you something He does not need anything big to make it happen. God loves to use things we think are insignificant and little to do mighty works.
You are a champion!
