EVERY PROBLEM HAS ITS OWN REMEDY, IF YOU GET IT RIGHT (Friday, 29th August, 2025)
Text for Today: 1 Sam. 30:1-8 “So David inquired of the Lord, saying, shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” (vs. 8).
Applying a wrong remedy to a problem will further aggravate the situation, instead of calming it down. No matter how difficult and challenging a problem or a crisis may be in the life of a man, there’s always a way out right before him, if his eyes will be opened. There is no problem under the sun that does not have its solution right beside it, the problem is that, many people get overwhelmed with the problem and fail to recognize the way out. You must also know that your response and reaction to people’s comments and actions toward you during your moment of trials will tell if you will come out of it victoriously or you will get stuck in it for life.
From our text for today, if David had focused on people’s reaction against him, they would never have experienced the restoration that took place thereafter. If you are the type that gets angry easily and gives attention to what people say or do to you in the season of your trial, you will simply lose focus. If David had reacted negatively to their attempt to stone him, none of them, including him, would have recovered what was taken from their land at all. King David did something remarkable, while others were still lamenting and crying, he encouraged himself and inquired from God the next step to take. There is always a step to take to set out of any situation you may find yourself that you are not pleased with if you will look up to God for guidance. Beloved, no crisis or challenge of life bows to crying or lamentation, it only bows to covenant steps taken with faith. Always put your trust in the God of restoration who fails not.
