How Can The Gifted Be Barren?

Text for Today: Luke 13:6-9 “And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.” (vs. 9).

Bearing fruits in whatever anyone does in life is synonymous to life itself, without which no one can experience true peace and joy on earth. From our text for today, the fig tree does not exist for or by itself, it belongs to a man.

The man who planted the tree desire fruits from it. Whether secular or in the kingdom, the expectation is always for you to bear fruits.

The fact that this particular fig tree did not produce fruits is mysterious, because fig trees have overcapacity to produce fruits with ease. How can the gifted be barren? It is a contradiction if the gifted is not having dominion in life.

Even the grace of God upon some people is leaking away because of some factors. Many of us are loaded in the church but not bearing fruits.

As believers, we are saved to bear fruits. This implies that if your life is not bearing fruits God is not happy with you. The question you need to ask yourself is “What am I doing as a child of God to bring addition or expand the kingdom of God?”

“How many people have I invited to church or led to Christ in the last six months?” “In what way have I been a blessing to other children of God?” These and many other more are ways to bear fruits as children of God.

If your answers to all of these are not in the affirmative, it’s never too late to take off and become productive, and if you are already producing fruits, you can still do better. Remember that the Owner of the vineyard will come one day to assess what each of us have done thus far.
