THE DEAD CANNOT DECLARE HIS FAITHFULNESS (Thursday, 16th July 2026)
Text for today: Psalm 89:1-8 “I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.” (vs. 1).
Those who don’t talk about the goodness of God in their lives are always stranded in the journey of life. God is forever committed to the lives of those who are never tired of proclaiming His faithfulness wherever they go in life, be it among the high and mighty or the downtrodden. This is one of the great virtues that made David be referred to as a man after God’s heart, because thanksgiving is so dear to the heart of God. Beloved, I want you to know that you can never thank God enough for sparing your life to see this second half of the year despite all that has happened since the year started. He is a faithful God who has never disappointed anyone before, and He expects us to talk about it without being ashamed everywhere we go.
If not for the Lord’s mercies we daily enjoy, many of us would not be alive today, or could have been thrown into the dungeon of life. That is why in our day-to-day life, we should find a way to always count our blessings. In doing so, we will learn to appreciate God the more for who He is. The Psalmist, from our text for today, declares that he will sing of the Lord’s mercies forever and will make known His faithfulness to all generations. Beloved, that is the same thing we must endeavour to do consistently if we don’t want to lose touch with God. The dead cannot declare His faithfulness; only the living can praise Him. I believe you know that quite well, and then don’t defeat the purpose of being alive today. Beloved, learn to celebrate His faithfulness towards you every day of your life.
You are a Champion!
