DON’T ABANDON YOUR DREAM IN THE FACE OF CHALLENGES (Wednesday, 19th August 2026)

Text for Today: Num. 14:1-10 “If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land which flows with milk and honey.” (vs. 8).

The journey of life will always end on a celebration and jubilation note for those who are willing to stand for what they believe in. Since nothing happens on its own in life, there is a demand on you to work and fight for what you believe in for you to fulfill your purpose on earth. Many people have been condemned to a life of daily misery and frustration because they abandoned their dream in the face of challenges. Beloved, you must know that what you stand for in life will determine what you get out of life and how your journey ends.

From our text for today, it became crustal clear that, when you defend whatever you believe in, God will surely defend you. This was the case of Joshua and Caleb, two out of the twelve spies that were sent out to spy the land of Canaan, who chose to be different from the negative conclusion made by the other ten spies. After informing the congregation about what they saw, the ten spies gave a conclusive report that they won’t be able to cross over into the land God had promised them. They backed out of divine agenda set up for them by God, and that was why none of them and many more never stepped into the Promised Land. Beloved, it’s not possible to possess what you reject in life. They rejected the Promised Land and they were unable to possess it. Joshua and Caleb on the other hand who stood for what they believed in according to God’s word inherited the Promised Land.

  1. I refuse to compromise over my faith and what I believe in.
  2. Father, open my eyes to always behold your truth in all that I do.
  3. As I step out today, Father, defend me in all my ways.
  4. I will not miss out of my covenant inheritance because of fear.
