HE IS GREATER THAN THE GREATEST OF ALL MEN (Tuesday, 18th August 2026)
Text for Today: Philip. 3:1-10 “That I may know him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death.” (vs. 10).
It does not matter who you claim to know in your state or nation, there are other people who know those that are higher than who you know. Connection is always superior to one another. If you claim to know the Commissioner of Police, what of if someone calls the AIG that the Commissioner you know submits to? But I stand to say to you today that, there is someone you can seek to know who has power and supremacy above all beings, no matter their positions or authority. This is because He is greater than the greatest and stronger that the strongest of all men. There is this adage that says, “Who you know determines what accompanies you in life.”
According to our text for today, Paul wished that he might be fully acquainted with God’s nature, His character, His work, and with the salvation, which He has wrought out. He wished that he might know Christ, in His true character, by trusting in Him and experiencing the transforming effects of such knowledge in his own soul. That he may understand and experience the proper influence, which the truth of His resurrection should have on the mind. If you are going to entrust your life to God, you must know whom God is. You need to read His word daily, to see how He has taken care of His people in the past, and be convinced that He will continue to take care of you also. God never fails; He never disappoints. The better you know Him, the more you will trust Him.
