REVERENCE TO GOD IS INSTRUMENTAL TO WHAT YOU GET (Friday, 18th September 2026)

Text for Today: Eccles. 5:1-7 “Walk prudently when you go to the house of God, and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of foods, for they do not know that they do evil.” (vs. 1).

The kind of attitude you display each time you appear in Zion will determine what you get from His presence per time. A man with negative attitude while in God’s presence with other brethren cannot receive divine attention from God; rather heaven will condemn him and his service that day. In my few years of service in God’s vineyard, I have seen quite a number of so-called Christians who do not respect God through their attitudes each time they come to church. When they come to church though they are late, they will still drag their feet and do as if they are the reason why everybody gathered.

While service is on, you find some Christians busy with their phones either going through messages or sending messages on Facebook, WhatsApp, Tiktok, Instagram and many more when they have the whole day after the service to do all that. Beloved, the two or three hours you have to spend in His presence must be sacred, devoid of any distortion or any attitude that dishonours God and His servant. Such people call the name of the Lord in vain, and they seem to be angry with what goes on in the church and with everybody. A king in the Bible did what he was not supposed to do in the temple of the Lord and he became a leper till he died. When you go to the house of the Lord, you must revere God, respect the people God has placed in authority in the church of God, then, your life will attract honour that comes from God Almighty.
