ANXIETY IS AN EXPRESSION OF DOUBT AND UNBELIEF, BEWARE! (Monday, 10th August 2026)
Text for Today: Ex. 14:8-22 “And Moses said to the people, Do not be afraid. Standstill, and see the salvation of the Lord…” (vs. 13).
When a covenant child is face to face with a life-threatening situation, where and who he looks forward to will determine the end result. Whoever looks unto a man instead of looking up to God in such a situation has simply signed his own death warrant. Right from the foundation of the earth, God does not want you to replace Him with someone or something else. Thus, the consequence of such action is always enormous. From our text for today, when the Israelites got to the Red Sea with no hope of going ahead with the journey into the Promised Land, they began to cry and complain. While they did all these, God did not intervene.
The great wonder of God that parted the Red Sea and made the land to become solid, stronger than roads that were constructed by Julius Berger only took place after they cried to God and held their peace. Holding your peace in any situation you find yourself is an evidence of faith. Anxiety is an expression of doubt and unbelief. Until you can truly enter into rest spiritually, mentally and psychologically on any issue of life, God cannot step in. We are living in a restless world, where there is a lot of jostling and bustling about and even believers find it difficult to have rest or peace of mind. There is a rest that every believer must enter into if he wants God to manifest in his situation. May you experience divine intervention as you hold your peace through unshaken faith in Him in Jesus name.
