BE RESILIENT WHEN THINGS GET TOUGH IN LIFE (Monday, 2nd March 2026)
Text for today: 2 Kings 2:1-15 “they said, the spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. And they bowed to the ground before him.” (vs. 15b).
In the journey of life, no weakling can ever fulfill his dreams or purpose on earth. When you have a dream, you have to go for it with vigor and passion. But sometimes on this journey we can run into difficulty. When this happens, you don’t have to give up on your dreams, rather you should persevere to make things happen. Understanding this will help you better to be resilient when things get tough and maneuver your next step. Many times, we have a dream and when times get tough, we give up. We think things should be easy when we are on the right path. Many times, the obstacle before us is just an avenue for us to launch higher into the future.
According to Wordbook’s definition, an obstacle is “something immaterial that stands in the way and must be circumvented or surmounted”. Many times, you can go around, over or under an obstacle. Making out plans to get around this obstacle will keep you stay focused on your journey to your dreams. Apart from obstacles, we may also come across people who do not believe in our dreams and will not hide it from us at all. Life becomes more interesting when you come in contact with those who do not believe in you and wants you to fail at all cost. Rather than complaining or lamenting over them, such people should prompt you to up your game in life. The more opposition that comes your way tells you the high premium over your dream in life, why? The devil does not fight what he does not fear. Turn your opposition to a motivational force in life.
