A KING TERRORIZED THEM, ANOTHER KING DELIVERED THEM (Tuesday, 26th May 2026)

Text for Today: 1 Sam. 11:1-11 “Now there was Saul, coming behind the herd from the field; and Saul said, “What troubles the people, that they weep.” (vs. 5).

Those who derive joy in helping others can never be stranded in life. Never underestimate the difference you can make happen in the lives of others. Step forward, reach out and help them out. There are battles that confront a man in life that is beyond what he could handle alone, that requires God sent help to overcome it. God is still committed to the business of raising one to help others to fulfill their purpose in life. Beloved, whatever good you make happen for others, some other people will make it happen for you as well according to the time of life.

From our text for today, King Nahash turned himself to a terrorist in the lives of the people of Jabesh Gilead, and pushed them to a point they told him to give them some time to think of a date they would all bring their right eyes for him to remove with knife. Their case was as pathetic as that, but when another king in the person of King Saul heard about the trouble that came upon them, the Spirit of God came upon him and he rose up to defend them. Beloved, there are kings and there are kings. A king terrorized them, another king delivered them. What Saul did for them terminated their reproach and shame, because they had no power to confront the evil king who initially threatened to pluck out the right eyes of all the people in the land. Beloved, I charge you today, to make deliberate effort to compliment others and make them smile. Whoever makes others happy, no matter the circumstances that may surround him; he will forever remain under the watchful eye of the Most-High.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: 1 Sam. 20:1-23.
