BECOMING A PARTAKER OF HIS POWER

What does it mean to be a partaker?

1. To gain access to a provision that is available.

2. To have a share of what is provided for.

3. To enjoy what has been made available.

What you need to become a partaker of the power

1. Yield and release yourself to God.

=> Those who have yielded to God do not struggle with His instructions, argue with Him, or allow their flesh to subdue His spirit.

=> John 1:12.

2. Leave a holy life because power comes with holiness.

=> Hebrews 1:9; Psalms 45:7.

3. Be an obedient child.

=> Isaiah 1:19.

=> A child of God who keeps flouting divine instructions cannot be a custodian of this power we’re talking about.

4. Be a consistent praise giver.

=> Power flows through praise. Those who know how to praise God are partakers of His power.

=> Wherever God is, His power is there, and He inhabits in the praises of His people. Psalms 22:3.

5. We must be committed to kingdom service.

=> Luke 9:1-2; Mark 6:7.

Things to note

1. God’s power has been made available to his children and those who believe in Him, but there are things we need to do to become partakers.

2. Covenant provisions of God will not be forced on you; you have to take steps to possess them.

3. Just as God offers salvation to all, He also offers His power to all if all will believe in it. John 3:16.

4. Everybody needs a power backup, and only God can give that power. The power that gives blessings and secures the future. Proverbs 10:22.

5. God’s power is something we must ask for every day of our lives.

6. It takes the knowledge of who God is to be a partaker of His power.

7. When you diligently serve in God’s vineyard, you become His vessel, and He will watch over you.

8. Whatever takes the praise of God from a person’s life will ultimately kill him.

Prayers

1. Dear Lord, help me to do what is required to partake of your power, in the name of Jesus.
