RESPONSIBILITY HAS ITS REWARDS; DON’T RUN AWAY FROM IT (Wednesday, 8th April 2026)

Text for Today: 1 Cor. 13:11-12 “…When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.” (vs. 11).

Those who run away from responsibilities in life can never taste true greatness. Responsibility is accepting that you are the cause and the solution of the matter. When you think everything is someone’s else fault, you will suffer a lot. When you realize that everything springs only from yourself, you will learn both peace and joy. And by choosing to take responsibility for your life, you will immediately gain an increased power to achieve your greatest potential. It’s only when you take responsibility for your life that you discover how powerful you truly are. Part of growing up is taking responsibility for oneself.

We start as infants with no personal responsibility whatsoever—everything that we need done is done for us. As we progress through the various stages of childhood, we take on more and more responsibilities. We learn to tie our own shoes, clean our own rooms, and turn in our own homework. We learn that responsibility has its rewards—and irresponsibility has other, less-than-desirable effects. In many ways, the difference between a child and a man is his willingness to take personal responsibility for his actions. The Bible teaches the concept of personal responsibility: Personal responsibility is closely related to the law of sowing and reaping (Gal. 6:7–8). Bearing this in mind, I charge you to be careful of the kind of life you live, because whatever you do today will wait ahead of you in form of harvest in the future. Concern yourself more with accepting responsibility than with assigning blame.

You are a Champion!

Further Study: Gal. 6:6-10.
