DON’T ALLOW FEAR TO TAKE HOLD OF YOUR LIFE (Saturday, 20th September 2025)
Text for Today: Is. 8:6-15 “Do not say “A conspiracy, concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats nor be troubled”. (vs. 12).
Those who live under the siege of fear in life, never amount to anything good, no matter how long they live. Whatever you are afraid of in life has a way of gaining access into your life, if care is not taken. Many people have been stopped abruptly through the instrument of fear by the devil; you must not allow him to add your name to the list. Job said, all the things I greatly feared have come upon me, and it was a great disaster for him indeed. If there is one thing you must not allow to take hold of your life, it is fear. Because, allowing fear in your life will never allow faith to take root in your life and when faith does not have a place in your life there is no way of pleasing and receiving anything from the Lord.
You must understand that anything you fear is as bad as fear itself. There is nothing that can ever happen to you that can be as disastrous and disruptive as the entrance of fear into your life. Fear is a dictator wherever it abides. Going through the Bible we have the account of some people who were stopped by fear, while some almost lost their lives because of their failure to conquer fear. You must know that, fear is not of God, for the Bible says in 2 Tim. 1:7 that, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Beloved, if you don’t stop fear today, it will stop you someday. Going through our further study for today will give you a good knowledge of several good reports that were obtained by elders who did not give in to the spirit of fear, rather they displayed great faith.
