DON’T SHUT GOD OUT OF YOUR LIFE (Saturday, 16th May 2026)
Text for Today: Psalms 121:1-8 “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth”. (vs. 2).
Those who shut God out of their lives don’t go far in life. You never know God is all you need, until God is all you have. Endless struggle is always the trademark of anyone who put his trust in man and not God. Who you are connected to determines what you get out of life. And I know someone who has never failed those who are connected to Him for once, and that person is God Almighty. Beloved, if it’s your desire to do God’s will but you don’t depend on His power, you will fail in spite of your skill, connections and your resources. Though you can’t sit in the sidelines and watch Him do everything for you, you have certain responsibilities to carry out if God must be committed to your life affair.
Your part is to obey His instructions, then trust Him for the right result. God’s sufficiency should be your ultimate goal not self-sufficiency. That’s why you must always pray to Him to teach you to strive for excellence to maximize your talents and minimize your ego. When you do things in your own strength the result will not be good and you will still incur disfavour from God. You must make Him Lord in every situation for your victory to be certain. It is when you think you can do without Him or limited input from Him that you get into trouble. John 5:9 Jesus knew, without the Father He can’t get anything done so He never bothered to try. Jesus then made it clear and expressive enough for us in John 15:5 that, “Without Me, ye can do nothing”. As you go out today, I charge you once again; make Him Lord in every situation.
