NO ONE IS IMMUNE AGAINST CHALLENGES AND TRIALS OF LIFE (Monday, 27th July 2026)
Text for Today: Heb. 6:1-12 “But beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation. (vs. 9).
I told them in church recently that, it does not matter the year you gave your life to Jesus or the number of days you spend fasting weekly and the number of hours you spend daily in the place of prayer, you need to know that no one is immune against challenges and trials of life. In fact, if you care to know, the day you gave your life to Christ was the day you received “Admission Letter” into Global School of Challenges, because from that day on you become the target of the devil and his agents. We live in a world where according to Jesus we will surely see tribulation (John 16:13), but with great assurance of victory if we are connected and remain connected to Him.
Some trials and tribulations simply come from living in this fallen world and these are those which are common to man. Whatever the brand of struggles we face, we need a secure hope in order to “hang in there” over a lifetime of growing in grace. From our text for today, hope is called “anchor for the soul.” That is a tremendous image, the picture of an anchor giving security and stability to a ship in the midst of a storm. That is what hope does for us, and more. (Romans 5:2-5). We can remain steadfast, trusting God through present difficulties and pains, because we know the outcome…. Only with a secure hope rooted in the faithfulness of God will we be able to weather the storms of life. It is our total confidence that Christ will complete the work He began in us that enables us to persevere over a lifetime. I decree that the storms of life shall not overcome you in Jesus name.
