TEMPTATION CAN’T FORCE ITSELF ON YOU IF YOU DON’T PERMIT IT (Monday, 9th March 2026)

Text for Today: 1 Cor.10:1-13 “but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able.” (vs. 13).

There are things in life that happen to all, of which no one is exempted, one of such is temptation. The temptation to sin is something all of us face as Christians, no matter how long we’ve been following Christ. But there are practical things we can do to grow stronger and smarter in our struggle against sin. Overcoming temptation can be accomplished by sticking to biblical practices. The devil is the architect of temptation. He brings temptation in our way each day of our lives and his motive for doing that is to make us sin against God. Thanks be to God, it is not automatic that we would fall anytime we are tempted, for as Christians we have what it takes to overcome the temptation to sin.

From our text for today, God is a faithful God who will not allow any temptation or challenges we cannot bear to come our way. God is ever committed to His word unlike man who fluctuates between two or several opinions. I once came across the story of a frog that fell into a big hole and couldn’t get out? Many of his friends tried to help him out but he refused thinking he couldn’t make it. Then these friends left him to go and get food for him, but no sooner had his friends left that the frog came behind them and his friends asked how he got out and why did he get out. He replied “though I thought I couldn’t get out until I saw a big truck coming right at me and I discovered that I could”. Usually it is only when we are forced to change that we discover we can; that’s because we are more comfortable with old problem than new solution.

You are a Champion!
