WHOEVER COMES TO HIM, HE WILL NOT CAST AWAY (Thursday, 25th September 2025)

Text for Today: 2 Chro. 7:11-16 “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven.” (vs. 14).

It does not matter how deep a man may have fallen into error and iniquity, if he will locate true repentance and be determined, he will surely encounter forgiveness and restoration. For the Bible says, “Whoever comes to Him, He will not cast away.” It’s our true repentance that God is always waiting for when it comes to showing forth His mercy over a sinner. I want you to know that, there is always a way out of any problem a man finds himself in life. Every difficult situation of life has a remedy and solution, if the actor involved will seek for it. I have seen quite a number of people who threw in the towel prematurely without exploring all the available means for a way out.

Our text for today could best be described as a great formula on how to open the door of restoration and revival. The scripture says, “If my people”, which means we should not expect the world, I mean unbelievers to cry out for restoration or revival of the whole world. It starts with the people who belong to that name. Then thereafter, we have to get rid of pride by humbling ourselves before the Almighty.  Pride keeps the Holy Spirit away from our hearts. “And pray”, we must pray. There is no substitute for prayer. When you neglect prayer the door of heaven remains shut. “… and seek my face”. It means more than just one period of prayer. It is a desperate call upon the gate of heaven… and turn from their wicked ways? But hear the promise. “I will hear”. When we fulfill the conditions set by God, what we want shall be granted.
