The Unimaginable Happened After He Followed Divine Instruction
Text for Today: Ezek. 37:1-14 “So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone.” (vs. 7).
Trying to go faster than the Lord’s instruction and timing is like trying to cross a bridge before the entire structure is built. Trust God; trust His time table; He will help you traverse stormy waters safely.
Whoever follows divine instructions as given cannot but see diverse manifestations of God’s power and glory. Such was the case of Prophet Ezekiel from our text for today, who saw the unimaginable, when dry bones rose up and came together because he followed what God told him to do.
Our God is a God of wisdom and power, and He has diverse ways of giving instructions to His children. He sometimes speaks figuratively and sometimes speaks in a denotative way. He speaks through dreams, vision and most importantly, through His word.
In Ezekiel’s vision, God instructed him to prophesy unto the dry bones in the midst of valleys, and as he did, the disjointed bones came together until they became human body, but were still lifeless.
God then told Ezekiel that his work was not yet over, that he should prophesy again, and when he did just that, breath of life came upon them and they became an exceedingly great army according to Ezek. 37:10.
Beloved, I want you to know that, whenever God is at work in any situation, human reasoning and calculations become irrelevant, and what is needed is compliance with the instructions given. Learn to speak to areas of your life that you seem helpless; and you will see the miraculous happen.
