EVERY GOAL IS ACHIEVABLE ONCE THERE IS COMMITMENT (Thursday, 9th July 2026)
Text for Today: Mark 2:1-12 “Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men.” (vs. 3).
All successful plans start with great goals. Thus, the first step you need to take to launch yourself to where you want to be is to START WITH GREAT GOALS. However, your goals must be saturated in prayer, contain good motives, and be sensitive to the will of God. (James 1:5-8; 4:3, 13-16; Proverbs 16:2; 21:2). As you move ahead in your journey this second half of the year, you must identify your long- and short-term goals. Write them down. Visualize them. Carefully determine the steps you need to reach them. Set priorities on which step to take first, second, etc. This is critical: write down the reasons “why” you want to reach the goals.
Your reasons become powerful motivators to propel you to achieve the goals. It is easy to drop your dreams in the face of discouragement and setbacks, so you need something to stay motivated. From our text for today, the four men who carried the paralytic man started by setting their goals of taking the man to Jesus. This action was what prompted them never to be discouraged, even when they couldn’t gain access to where Jesus was through the door, and they went ahead to open the roof. The second half of the year has just started, if you have not done it yet, sit down to set your goals and be prepared to go after them. Every goal is achievable once there is commitment and determination towards it. I pray for you today that you will not watch your goals for this second half of the year waste away before you in Jesus’ name.
You are a Champion!
Further Study: Luke 19:1-10.
