FAITHFULNESS IS NOT DOING SOMETHING RIGHT ONCE BUT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. (Friday, 25th September 2026)
Text for Today: Ps. 89:1-8 “I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever, with my mouth will I make known your faithfulness to all generations.” (vs. 1).
A strong virtue that helps those who have gotten to the top of the ladder in their endeavour is that of consistency in what they do. They chose to be faithful to their assignment and it has paid off. Faithfulness is not doing something right once but doing something right over and over again. A sincere child of God who is grateful enough to make known God’s faithfulness to everyone will continue to increase. God’s faithfulness is unquantifiable when we consider all we have gone through since we came into this world and particularly with just few days to the end of the ninth month of this year. He is a faithful God who has never disappointed anyone before and is not thinking of disappointing any at all.
That is why in our day to day life, we should find a way to always count our blessings and not our burdens. In doing so, we will learn to appreciate God the more. The psalmist counted his blessings and he was able to precisely say that God has been good unto him even when he was unfaithful. Prophet Jeremiah says “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”. (Lam 3:22-23). How faithful are you to God in the present state you are? Remember, being faithful in the smallest things is the way to gain, maintain and demonstrate the strength needed to accomplish something great. I charge you today to be faithful in your dealings with God and man, as you trust Him to lift you higher.
