Where Are All The Wicked People Buried?
Text for Today: John 5:25-32 “For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself.”(vs. 26).
“Daddy; where are all the wicked people buried?”, was the question a boy asked his father one day after they both read through epitaphs on some of the gravestones in a cemetery. The boy became confused somehow because, every inscription seemed to indicate that the deceased was in a state of bliss.
He then asked his father, if everyone buried here are all good people in their lifetime, where are the wicked ones buried. Beloved, that is one of the irony of life, whereby you see relatives and friends saying beautiful things about the departed ones, even when they lived contrary to that while alive.
But mind you, that can never erase their records before God Almighty. There is no one who passed on that ever escaped people’s comment.
However, some people, out of respect for the dead, or they don’t want to offend some people, they hide the truth whenever they make comments. Beloved, I want you to know that, what men say about you is not as important as what is in your record before God and what God is saying.
Jesus said “All who are in graves will hear his voice and come forth; those who have done well, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation” (John 5:28-29). What makes the difference? Jesus said “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God (John 3:18).
