What Consumes Your Mind Controls Your Life
Text for Today: Jer. 29:4-13 “For I know the thoughts that I have for you “says the Lord’ plan to prosper and not to harm, plans to give you hope and a future.” (vs. 11).
Fill your mind with God’s word and you will have no room for Satan’s lies. You must learn to spend time in God’s word, filling your mind with truths that anchor your soul in stormy situations.
Whatever we focus our attention on is what will dominate out thoughts, and if our thoughts are dominated by the things of this world, then we are going to get worldly results. We need to focus on God’s word to make a difference in life.
As a believer, your disposition to God’s word will determine what you make out of life. Remember, the word of God you fail to appropriate will practically profit you not.
There are people in this world who specialize in focusing on what’s wrong with them, rather than what the word of God says about them. Words are powerful things; they either build you or pull you down.
That’s why it is so important to align your words with God’s words. To walk in victory you must begin to say what God says regardless of the situation you find yourself in.
To say anything different is to put yourself in disagreement with Him. You are what God says you are. If others disagree, so what?. What difference does anybody make?
The only solid and enduring foundation for self worth is God’s opinion of you. And you will only find that in His word.
And when you do, build your life around it and fill your conversation with it. Whether you are struggling or soaring, stand on the word of God.
Someone said the difference between those who make it and those who don’t is how they handle and respond to God’s word.
