UNGRATEFUL PEOPLE ARE FOREVER BARREN OF PEACE AND JOY (Sunday, 17th May 2026)

Text for Today: Philip. 4:1-4 “Rejoice in the Lord always again I say rejoice.” (vs. 4).

Give thanks not just on Thanksgiving Day, but every day of your life. Appreciate God and never take Him for granted for all that you have. The thankful heart opens our eyes to a multitude of blessings that continually surround us. Beloved, you must be thankful for what you have; you will end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough. Thanksgiving is a sure way to remain a man after God’s heart in all your ways. Ungrateful people are forever at loggerheads with God, and they are going nowhere. You always see such men get stuck over everything they lay their hands upon.

One of the greatest lessons, we must learn as Christians in the life of Paul the apostle is the attitude of gratitude. Though they locked Paul up but they couldn’t keep him down. Romans 8:28. Says “All things work together for good to those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose.” When you’re in the center of your God-given purpose, you can smile in the storm, because you know God is on your side. David said in Ps. 119:164, “Seven times a day I will praise Thee. Make praise a part of your daily schedule. It changes your focus from what’s wrong to what’s possible. The strength you need to overcome and the attitude you need to keep on moving can only be cultivated in the climate of gratitude and continual thanksgiving. As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.

You are a Champion!
