THE DURATION OF AN AFFLICTION CANNOT STOP THE POWER OF GOD (Thursday, 6th August 2026)
Text for Today: John 5:1-9 “Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”(vs. 8).
One of the areas the devil attacks in the life of a man is his health, because no man can get his dreams expressed in life if he is tied to a sick bed. Many great dreams and glory have been rendered inactive because of sicknesses and diseases that the devil afflict men with. I make bold to declare to you today that, sickness is not from God but the devil. However, whoever is under the siege of any form of afflictions, if he cries to God in prayer, God will always come to his aid and give such a person victory over issues of life. From our text for today, at the Pool of Mercy (Bethesda means House of Mercy), the sick man who got healed by Jesus had been there for 38 years with no solution from any man until Jesus came around.
Jesus simply told him to rise up and walk, and he believed what Jesus said and the miracle took place. The duration of an affliction cannot stop the power of God from being made manifest when your time comes, if you will look up to Him with faith. Faith in God’s unfailing Word gives substance to our hope (Heb. 11:1). At any point in your life when you smell any movement or happenings contrary to what the word of God says, you must immediately rise to confront it through warfare prayers to terminate it. I decree into your life today that, every satanic agenda against your life shall not stand, rather it will go back to the sender in the name of Jesus. You will live your life in prosperity and pleasures according to the scriptures in Jesus name.
