STAND BY THE TRUTH, COME RAIN COME SHINE (Thursday, 13th August 2026)
Text for Today: Lev. 19:9-14 “You shall not steal, nor deal falsely nor lie to one another.” (vs. 11).
God is forever happy with whoever says the truth and stands by it come rain come shine. An adage says, “If lies go ahead on a journey for twenty years, truth will catch up with it one day.” Be not deceived that you have escaped with the life of lie you have been living for several years, truth will catch up with you one day. If there is anything that will never expire in life, it is the “Truth.” The God of truth, who requires truth in the heart (Ps 51:6), requires it also in the tongue: Neither lie one to another, either in bargaining or common converse. This is one of the laws of Christianity: ‘Lie not one to another’ (Col 3:9).
Know full well today that those that do not speak the truth will always come across people who will lie to them as well; those that sin by lying justly suffer by it; therefore, we are forbidden to lie one to another; for, if we lie to others, we teach them to lie to us. Lies hurt. Becoming the best person, you can be means stopping the lies. Don’t ever fudge a lie all because you do not want to hurt someone’s feelings. It is possible to be honest and kind at the same time. Show enough respect for that fellow around you, your family, and friends by telling them the truth at all times. Ananias and Sapphira met their untimely death because they lied when they could have told the apostles the truth of the whole situation. There is this saying that says, “Say the truth and put the devil to shame.” May you not cut short your life on the platform of lie in Jesus name.
You are a Champion!
Further Study: Ps. 51:6; Col. 3:9.
