COVENANT KEYS TO OVERCOMING FEAR (Friday, 4th September 2026)
Text for Today: Is. 41:1-13 “Fear not for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you….” (vs. 10a).
Whoever cannot conquer the spirit of fear will remain a victim of all manners of negative happenings. People fear a lot of things. People fear about what the future will bring, corrupt officials, illnesses, death, terrorist attacks, financial crisis, and the list goes on and on. The first key to overcoming fear is, REALIZE THAT GOD IS WITH YOU. The consciousness of His presence around you always is a sure guarantee that all is well with you. In the absence of this, there is serious fire on the mountain. The problem with fear, when not controlled, may lead to spiritual growth retardation. Instead of moving forward with faith, you stay within your comfort zone. Our text for today gives us the reason to never be fearful. We must not fear because God is with us.
Some other Bible passages also confirm why we should not be afraid. “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me (Psalms 118:6)? Having God on your side is more than enough for you to never be afraid of what the future holds. If God protects you from all forms of harm, why should you fear? If God is on your side, what can man do to you? The same sentiment is expressed in Psalms 23:4 where it says: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” The same God who is the Supreme Ruler of the entire universe, the same God who made heavens and the earth, the same God who holds all the power to protect you is with you.
