HE IS TOO HOLY TO BREAK HIS COVENANT (Thursday, 2nd April 2026)
Text for Today: Num. 23:19-26 “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (vs.19).
All through the just concluded month of March in our church, we received a lot revelational teachings and ministrations on the theme “Covenant Keeping God,” which was our focus for the month. A song s says, “That is why you’re called Jehovah, that is why you’re called Jehovah. What you say you will do, that is what you will do; that is why you’re called Jehovah.” There’s no better way to describe or talk about the integrity of God. Whatever God has promised, he is able to do. We have seen and we have heard of men who made promises by words and even by oath who failed to keep to it.
But I am glad to inform you that we serve a covenant keeping God, who never fails to keep His word and never turns back at His covenant. He holds His covenant dear to His chest and goes all out to fulfill it from generation to generation. A covenant is a legally binding agreement between two or more parties to solidify a commitment. Our God whom we serve is a God of covenant who will never turn away from it. That is why we call Him “A Covenant Keeping God.” From our further study for today, if a mortal being, in the person of King David, remembered the covenant he had with his friend Jonathan even after his death, how much more, God Almighty, who is able to do more exceedingly and more abundantly in accordance with his covenant. Beloved, Mephiboseth simply enjoyed the dividends of the covenant David had with his late father, Jonathan. If you can hold on to God’s word, as clearly written in the Bible, it will surely come to pass.
You are a Champion!
Further Study: 2 Sam. 9:1-13.
